Islam meletakkan akidah sebagai asas utama dalam perjuangan. Bahkan ia merupakan rahasia kekuatan Islam sepanjang zaman. Dengan kata lain, Islam tidak menjadikan isu sebagai landasan utama kerana persoalan akidah adalah bersifat menyeluruh dan evergreen. Perjuangan yang berasaskan isu akan tamat dengan selesainya isu berkenaan. Sebaliknya Islam sentiasa mengetengahkan isu-isu yang berpaksi pada akidah untuk menjelaskan tuntutan sebenar tauhid. Kalimah syahadah La ilaha illa Allah yang menjadi tema tauhid itu sendiri adalah suatu cetusan revolusi atau Perubahan besar-besaran dalam jiwa dan kehidupan manusia kerana ia bererti pengakuan kepada kekuasaan menghukum dan memerintah tertinggi yang diserahkan hanya kepada Allah. Ia adalah cetusan revolusi terhadap kuasa duniawi yang telah merampas suatu sifat khusus Tuhan yang utama iaitu menentukan perjalanan dan peraturan hidup manusia. Islam adalah revolusi terhadap Kenyataan hidup yang bersandarkan kepada rampasan hak Tuhan itu dan juga merupakan suatu pukulan maut ke atas sebarang peraturan dan kekuasaan yang tidak diredhai Allah. Sebaliknya Islam menuntut manusia tunduk dan patuh kepada Allah selaras dengan pengertian kalimah Islam sendiri. Syed Qutb menyifatkan Islam merupakan revolusi dalam kehidupan manusia. Dalam hubungan ini Syed Qutb menyatakan, "Seorang yang menganut Islam itu sebenarnya telah melucutkan dari dirinya segala sesuatu dari zaman lampaunya pada alam jahiliyah. Dia merasakan ketika dia mula menganut Islam bahawa dia memulakan zaman baru dalam hidupnya; terpisah sejauh-jauhnya daripada hidupnya yang lampau di zaman jahiliyah. Sikapnya terhadap segala sesuatu yang berlaku di zaman jahiliyah dahulu ialah sikap seorang yang sangat berhati-hati dan berwaspada.

Phatic Function in the Novel “a Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” by James Joyce

This study examined the language function occurred in the novel “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” by James Joyce formulated by Jackobson. The aims of the study were to identify and to examine the phatic function that occurs in conversation. This study employed descriptive qualitative methods. Data were collected through the source of the data namely the novel “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” by James Joyce formulated by Jackobson. There are five steps used as the techniques of collecting data, they are (1) read the novel, (2) identified the utterances, (3) collected the phatic function, (4) counted the phatic function, and (5) examined the purpose of the utterances. Triangulation technique was also used to collect the data. This study found nine functions of language as the result of this study, those were, emotive, directive, phatic, poetic, referential, metalinguistic, contextual, emotive and directive, and referential and poetic functions. The purpose of the phatic function that found in conversation namely, opening the channel of communication such as greeting, checking that it is working, asking the social reasons, maintaining the contact of communication, and show a farewell expression

Problem-based learning in the context of mathematics learning is a math learning strategies in the classroom with activities solve mathematical problems so that students can construct mathematical knowledge by himself. In connection with the efforts to achieve the learning objectives of mathematics through problem-based learning, of course, requires students to use the potential optimally. Meanwhile, to create mathematical learning process with the use of students' potential optimally, then the emotional intelligence of the students need to be a concern. Emotional considerations in mathematics learning in particular may be a bit much help in receiving math, in the middle of contention that still believed by most students, that math is a difficult subject. Thus, the presence of emotional intelligence can be seen as aspects to consider, it can even be used as the basis for follow-problem-based learning process well so that the achievement of mathematics learning in their entirety

Pola shift kerja telah berjalan di berbagai belahan dunia dengan persentase peshift kerjamalam, atau shift lebih 15-20% di Eropa, 20% di Amerika Serikat, di Asia bervariasi antara 6-32% dari total pekerja. Shift kerja, yang menurut definisi adalah: suatu cara waktu kerja dibagi dalam shift secara bergantian (rotasi) pada tempat kerja yang sama. Shift dapat terus menerus atau tidak, dengan shift kerja membuat pekerjaan pada waktu yang berbeda siang dan malam selama beberapa hari atau minggu, risiko shift kerjaselain ditentukan karena jadwal shift kerja, juga ditentukan oleh waktu kerja total. Untuk menilai pola shift kerja saat ini dalam hal mekanisme adaptasi fisiologis toleransi tubuh menggunakan indikator hormon catecholamin dan kortisol urine. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kuasi-eksperimen dengan pendekatan crossover design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola shift kerja yang dilakukan sejauh ini masih dapat ditoleransi oleh mekanisme adaptasi fisiologis tubuh pekerja yang menunjukkan bahwa ketiga pola shift kerja yang diteliti, tidak ada perbedaan tingkat hormon yang signifikan, uji yang dilakukan adalah one sampel t-test antara konsentrasi kadar hormon urine dengan nilai acuan normal dengan urutan pola shift kerja2 lebih baik dari dua pola lainnya

Nowadays ICT is rising rapidly, although in fact the effort of mathematics teaching quality is still concerning in cognitive aspect while forgetting non-cognitive aspect. The neglect of affective aspect as well emotional quotient in mathematics teaching contributes to social situation that hamper national character development. So, the development of ICT must be preferred as an alternative for mathematics teaching in order to extend emotional quotient towards national character development.
